New Operation Theatre Complex now fully operational!
We rang in the New Year by making our new Modular Operation Theatre fully functional. We are now doing all our surgeries in the new Operation Theatre Complex on the first floor. Our complex consists of 3 Theatres:
- Our Modular OT is OT 1
- The LASIK OT is OT 2
- A Minor OT is OT 3
The Central Sterilisation Unit and Storage of Instruments and OT disposables all happen inside the OT Complex now. This reduces chances of infection and contamination of sterile areas. All staff and patients entering the OT Complex wear OT footwear. This helps reduce entry of contaminants from outside.
To limit access to the OT Complex area, patients come up to the first floor with only 1 attendant using our newly installed lift. Patients’ relatives make themselves comfortable on a sofa while the patients are prepared for surgery. For post operative care, 3 beds are available to make sure the patients are comfortable and stable before leaving the OT Complex.
