Dr Manoj Saxena

Comprehensive Ophthalmologist

Dr Manoj Saxena took his first steps in the field of Ophthalmology when he completed his M.S. (1989) from AMU Institute of Ophthalmology, JNMC, AMU, Aligarh and then D.N.B (1990). Wanting to learn from the masters, he did a retina fellowship with Prof O P Ahuja before establishing his first clinic in 1996. To keep abreast of developments and hone his skills in the complicated and challenging field of Vitreo-Retinal diseases, he attended workshops and conferences in India and abroad. In 2008 he became a Fellow of the European Vitreo-Retinal Training School, Bremen, Germany. Since then several of his surgical videos have been displayed at national and international conferences. He is a member of AIOS, DOS, EVRS, ESCRS and ASCRS.

With the desire to provide comprehensive eye care services to patients of Aligarh, Dr Manoj Saxena armed himself with skills relating to the full range of eye ailments from phacoemulsification for cataracts through minute incisions (mostly under topical anaesthesia) to refractive surgery (LASIK and ICL). The aim is to make Prakash Netralaya & Retina Foundation a center equipped with state-of-the-art surgical and diagnostic instruments, capable of providing services at par with any other world class eye hospital.
